FAQ Promo Code / Rates. Before selecting your dates, enter “BajaSummer” into the promo code field located in the top right hand corner of our booking engine page, and hit “apply” to show savings of 30% between June 15 and October 31. See our booking engine for availability and rates. Rates and promotions may be subject to restrictions to change.
FAQ Check In. We provide a dedicated check in host who is on site between 2:00 and 10:00 pm to open the gate and check you in. Before 2:00 pm your room may or may not be ready depending on previous check out and cleaning schedule on that day. Although we can’t guarantee it, we may have a staff member who if is on site before 2:00 pm and available to store your bag until your room is ready. Please note we are not a full service property with a 24 hour front desk.
FAQ Minimum Stay. Depending on your selected dates our booking engine may put in effect a minimum stay at the time of your inquiry, especially during high demand dates and weekends. This helps us keep our prices lower for our very limited number of rooms. However please check our booking engine, found on our website, which may relax minimum stay depending on availability and demand closer to the time of your desired check in date.
FAQ Specific Room Request. We will do our best to get you into the room or floor of your choice depending on availability at the time of your arrival. We cannot guarantee a specific room in advance. Room change requests may incur a 20% surcharge and be charged at full rack rate.
FAQ Manual Bookings. Please note we keep our prices low by providing a do-it-yourself booking engine which can be found here www.driftsanjose.com. Manual bookings will be made at full rack rate with a 20% service charge.
FAQ Families. Thank you for your inquiry regarding families, children, or aging parents. We are an adults only property, all guests must be 18 years or older. Our concept is to provide value priced lodging to young independent adventure travelers. Our do-it-yourself style does not have the services or amenities associated with a resort or traditional hotel. The property is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
FAQ Room Configurations. We have eight rooms, small, medium and large, all rooms regardless of size have one queen bed and a two person maximum. We do not provide cots or have rooms with two beds. Each room has its own bathroom with shower, lockbox and writing desk. Large and Medium rooms have hammocks. Large rooms have an open concept shower.
FAQ Group Bookings. For groups or multiple bookings, we require a 5 night minimum charge regardless of number nights stayed and a 50% non-refundable deposit and 20% surcharge to make the booking. We can send you a complete information package with all the requirements upon request. We do not allow stag or stagette parties.
FAQ Location, Transportation, Parking, Directions. We do not provide shuttle service or have parking on site. You have the option to rent a car, take a shuttle or a taxi from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) to downtown San Jose del Cabo (20 minutes). We recommend you print a map for your driver. We are located on Hidalgo between Comonfort and Obregon, 1.5 blocks North of the cathedral, in the historic centro, or downtown San Jose del Cabo. Look for a white wall and black gate. If you are driving the easiest access and free parking is on Centenario close to where it meets Hidalgo. We recommend renting a car or 4×4 if you want easy access to all the great sites of Los Cabos and Baja California Sur. There is a National Car rental two blocks from us. There is a taxi stand in front of the cathedral 1.5 blocks from us. The beach is a 20 minute walk.
Policies. Policies can be found on the booking page. Adults only, no pets, only registered guests on property, rooms are non-smoking. We may have a minimum stay if effect. Please contact us before making multiple or group bookings. Guests assumes all risk for loss or injury while using the property. Check in time is between the hours of 2PM and 10PM. Please note we do not have 24 hour reception, offer concierge services or take inquires by phone. Room must be paid in full upon arrival. Cancellation must be made 48 hours before check in or first two nights will be charged.
